California Rocker Photos Honored by LA Press Club

CaliforniaRocker.com, the Los Angeles-based music website produced by Donna Balancia has been honored with four finalist designations at the 2016 National Arts and Entertainment Journalism Awards. In addition to the photo of Flyin' Jay Armant of Fishbone, above, three other photos and a photo essay by Suzanne Witkin were also honored.

Photographer Witkin was awarded a finalist designation for her remarkable and exclusive photo essay "On Tour With The Hollywood Vampires," that captured the summer tour of Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Johnny Depp and the rest of the Vampires.

Fishbone was not the only photo to receive a finalist designations in the action photo category of the annual NAEJ Awards. Also grabbing top honors were photos of Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Dick Dale as they performed for their faithful fans.
